JOB DESCRIPTION:

The Chapter Lead is a people manager within the Agile Delivery domain, focusing on skill/people development and the continuous improvement of Agile Delivery. This includes developing chapter members through peer-coaching, training, mentorship, and ensuring teams have the capabilities needed to succeed. The Chapter Lead also builds and promotes knowledge, standards, and best practices for the domain more broadly in collaboration with other Chapters Leads. The Chapter Lead will have chapter members reporting to them and will act as a performance coach, supporting goal setting and development.

PREFERRED SKILLS

  • Expert in the Agile Delivery domain; strong understanding of Agile methodologies
  • Ability to develop and promote high performing Agile Delivery team members
  • Proficiency in Scaled Agile (SAFe) preferred
  • A progressive thought leader who can build engaged teams and promote continuous improvement

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 5+ years working in an agile delivery role
  • Experience in scaled agile delivery preferred
  • Experience leading, coaching, mentoring, and developing people and teams as a people manager
  • Experience identifying and acquiring talent, resource planning and talent allocation across large organizations
  • Experience encouraging team members to create a rewarding working environment in which they are driven and motivated to have a real impact
  • Experience creating an environment of learning and continuously improving your skills, and the skills of those in your chapter
  • Experience in fast-paced Agile environments

Responsibilities:

  • Act as the performance coach to a team of Agile Delivery domain experts
  • Develop and manage expertise within the Agile Delivery domain
  • As a people manager, develop and execute a talent strategy that enables career progression and mobility, and professional development
  • Refine standards and best practices within the Agile Delivery domain
  • Manage and develop capabilities within the domain through coaching, training, and mentoring
  • Manage capability roadmaps for chapter members to develop “T-shaped” profiles
  • Support the organization in talent management for the domain
  • Anticipate future needs for critical skills/competencies and develop workforce plans to meet them
  • Establish the direction of professional development for chapter members
  • Manage and/or participate in the review of practitioners’ progression, performance, and compensation process
  • Actively participate in the Chapter leadership community of practice to ensure consistency and alignment in chapter management practices and expectations

  • Southern California region: $152,100 - $228,200 annually

  • Central California region: $160,300 - $240,500 annually

  • Northern California region: $171,400 - $257,100 annually
    If you are a Colorado or Nevada resident, the salary range for this position is $145,100 - $217,700 annually
    If you are a Connecticut or Maryland resident, the salary range for this position $152,100 - $228,200 annually
    If you are Washington or Rhode Island resident, the salary range for this position is $160,300 - $240,500 annually
    If you are a New York resident, the salary range for this position is $171,400 - $257,100 annually
