Services Business Line offers sustainable services for Pulp, Board and Paper, Tissue and Energy customers. Our main focus is to be world leader in serving our customers. Our offering is growing from traditional services to comprehensive solutions and long-term agreements.
Board, Paper and Tissue Solutions Business Unit is committed to helping our customers improve their asset reliability and production performance. The Business Unit governs the global business, develops new products and services as well as provides engineering and process expertise in delivery projects with Areas. The area organizations lead the sales and execution with sales professionals, field service experts and project managers.
Field Services, Improvement Projects, Performance Agreements and Industrial Internet Solutions are the essential elements in our Board and Paper Services portfolio. We believe that excellent customer experience is built on value adding offering, skills and competences related to equipment and process as well as operational excellence in sales and delivery. We serve our customers annually in more than 500 improvement projects and 5000 field service projects and have more than 50 long-term agreements in place.

As a Director, Board and Paper Services you will lead a direct team of highly motivated global technology experts and you are a key player in the business unit management team. Your main responsibilities include:

• Development and management of competitive offering portfolio
• Strategic planning and execution to achieve growth, profitability and customer satisfaction
• Annual target achievement like new product sales, orders received, net sales and gross profit
• Talent and competence development

At Valmet we get things done by working together. As a Director, Board and Paper Services you will work with colleagues in different fields around the world to fulfill the customer needs. You will have a key role in developing our sales and delivery processes and global footprint, including field services, engineering, project and agreement management capabilities, as well as competitive supply chain.
You will also work together with other Service Business Units and Valmet Business Lines, especially in developing the entire Board and Paper customer segment.

Expectations

• Passion for developing new products, services and agreement concepts and utilizing them to generate profitable growth
• A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a related field
• Solid understanding of the pulp & paper industry and project, service and agreement business processes
• Dynamic leadership to achieve results both individually and as part of a team in an international matrix environment
• Good organizational skills and business acumen with an ability to achieve results under pressure
• Effective written and oral communication skills in English along with presentation, negotiation, and analytical skills
• Willingness and ability to travel on an international basis.
• Proven results in developing and managing a competitive offering, as well as achieving growth and profitability

The position is based in Jyväskylä, Järvenpää, Tampere or Raisio, Finland. Please note that Valmet is building a completely new, shared office building in the Tikkurila district of Vantaa for its employees currently working in Järvenpää and some of its employees currently working in Hakkila, Vantaa. We will move into the new offices in early 2025.
