Description:

STRATEGIC THINKING EXPECTATIONS

  • Acts as strategic leader for project team and (in some cases) for client account team overall. Thinks through implications of actions, identifies opportunities and risks, and acts accordingly, balances providing what the client needs with the optimal outcome for Ipsos.
  • Manage the day-to-day responsibilities of several research projects from start to finish, help frame objectives, develop research design and sampling plans, create research instruments (surveys, discussion guides, screeners) analyze results and create final client deliverables.

WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT TO BE DOING:

  • Lead various large tracking studies across Canada and possibly globally in terms of revenue maintenance/growth, analytical rigor, and team leadership
  • Manage client needs related specifically to the research offerings of the BHT service line
  • Independently prices and writes full proposals of all types, with goal of growing Ipsos business and presence with assigned clients
  • Perform data analysis and verification, test hypotheses, draw conclusions; prepare reports and presentations; make recommendations from the data results based on the client’s requests and business issues
  • Has ability to see the spectrum of client needs and helps connect the dots between projects. May include linking projects to each other, pulling in other service lines, proactively sharing Ipsos capabilities of interest, and more. May include new business outreach and structured business development plans
  • Mentors and trains junior team members on best practices and career growth on an ongoing basisCreates “internal brand” within Ipsos and specific thought should be given to the unique area (whether client facing and/or internal facing) and activities that will help guide what they want to be “known for” as an expert within and outside of Ipsos

CLIENT MANAGEMENT RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Acts as primary project lead to the client, overseeing more junior members. Handles more complex conversations/communications around project design, analysis, and unexpected challenges. Works to ensure business retention and uncover incremental revenue generation opportunities. Provides coaching and guidance to more junior team members on their own client interactions.

STUDY LEAD RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Leads/co-lead final report writing elements, strategic client guidance and presentation of findings.

EMPLOYEE MANAGEMENT RESPONSIBILITIES

  • May act as manager to one or more Research Analysts/Account Managers/Senior Account Managers. Includes overseeing training schedule, day-to-day guidance and supervision, manage performance and providing feedback (both ongoing and during annual review and goal setting).
