EDUCATION & SKILLS

An enviable track record: 15 years or more in Business Development with strong insights into the EPC/EPCM, fabrication, and construction for projects in the energy sector.
A seasoned networker, known for cultivating and maintaining strategic connections; bringing established and productive relationships within the energy and environmental sectors.
Solid understanding of client needs, combined with standout sales acumen, especially in the realms of business development and energy-focused marketing.
Demonstrated expertise in crafting and supervising compelling proposals, coupled with the ability to develop and deliver persuasive presentations.
Articulate communicator with a natural aptitude for fostering relationships; driven by a proactive sales ethos.
Skillfully adept at navigating the technicalities and commercial aspects contracts, particularly within bid and negotiation scenarios.
Academic credentials in a relevant technical or business discipline are an added advantage.

Responsibilities:

Project Identification: Drive initiatives targeting the identification of facilities and pipelines projects, emphasizing natural gas processing, carbon capture, renewable energy, power generation, and both petrochemical and conventional oil projects.
Sales Targeting: Leverage an established industry network to uncover potential leads, ensuring consistent growth in clientele. Ensure Equinox Engineering remains prequalified and primed for bidding, aligning with the requirements of both existing and prospective clients.
Client Engagement & Relationship Building: Prioritize direct interactions with potential clients through targeted cold calls, as well as foster existing client relationships through regular meetings, luncheons, and collaboration with our technical experts. Deepen ties with key stakeholders in client organizations, focusing on nurturing relationships and identifying new project opportunities.
Proposal Management: Spearhead the creation of compelling proposals and presentations, ensuring that our differentiators of quality, technical expertise and cost reduction are front and center. Act as a bridge between the BD Team, Estimating Team, and Project Managers, especially during bid preparation and submission.
Marketing Strategy: Actively seek and seize market opportunities, using a combination of research, networking, and direct outreach. Gather and decipher market insights, keeping an eye out for budding opportunities even beyond the western Canadian locale.
By taking on these crucial duties, you will be the linchpin ensuring Equinox Engineering’s continued growth and leadership in engineering projects for the energy sector and help drive the industry to a sustainable future.
