Responsibilities:

Responsibilities of the Director, Business Operations Readiness will include:

  • Responsible for the development and delivery of all business operations processes & models, updates all relevant internal documentation, and ensures ongoing alignment with internal stakeholders (CIO team, finance team, etc.);
  • Define the program/projects target business operating model;
  • Partner with the Financial Market Risk team to identify and ensure the completion of all activities required to ensure Payments Canada’s adherence to Bank of Canada risk management standards in the delivery of projects and programs (e.g. Financial Risk Frameworks, Participation Monitoring Frameworks, Self-Assessment Frameworks, Suspension Playbooks, Contingency Playbooks, Financial Recovery Plans, etc);
  • Align with the testing team to provide support and ensure readiness for operational readiness testing;
  • Partner with the operational risk team to develop, implement, and execute or amend the crisis management plan, which includes business continuity and disaster recovery plans for the program/project once live;
  • Develop/update the systems Service Level Description and all related operational readiness material;
  • Work with internal teams to ensure Payments Canada readiness for ongoing operational audits;
  • Ensure workstream activities are in alignment with the overall integrated project plan and budget for the program;
  • Partner with the people change management team and other internal teams to identify changes to roles and responsibilities of Payments Canada resources and facilitates work with HR to prepare teams for ongoing operations;
  • Develop appropriate training required for program/project end users (industry & internal);
  • Stakeholder relationship management;
  • Work with the Director of Industry Readiness & Deployment to align plans and transition;
  • Provide thought leadership to all employees within the Business Operations Readiness function, which includes mentorship and development
