Job Title: Director, Cancer Prevention Programs and Services

Work Model: Hybrid
Salary Band: 8 ($96,000 - $144,000 CAD)

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Master’s degree in health promotion, public health, health sciences, health communications, health policy or a related field with at least 10 years management experience, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • 5-7 years of experience in cancer prevention, tobacco cessation, public health, nutrition, health promotion, or related field preferred.
  • Knowledge and experience in implementing health promotion approaches and strategies at both the community, regional and national level.
  • Knowledge and experience implementing health promotion approaches using health equity principles.
  • Knowledge and experience with priority populations engagement.
  • Training in program/project management, strategy, evaluation and performance management.
  • Experience leading a multidisciplinary team.
  • Experience managing complex and time-sensitive initiatives, programs and projects with multiple external and internal partners.
  • Excellent people leadership skills with demonstrated success managing complex organizational environments.
  • Experience with coordinating the development of proposals, briefs, and reports for diverse stakeholder audiences.
  • Demonstrated experience in partnership development.
  • Working knowledge of MS Office (Word/Excel/PowerPoint/Outlook).
  • Experience in a multi-level, non-profit organization preferred.
  • Experience in working with volunteers and students an asset.
  • Bilingual in English and French required.
  • Strong organizational skills, commitment to meeting deadlines, ability to prioritize, and attention to detail.
  • Enthusiastic, positive, solutions-focused with a ‘can do’ attitude, strong collaborator, and relationship builder.
  • Flexibility, ability to deal with competing priorities.
