Description:
Job Title: Director, Cancer Prevention Programs and Services

Work Model: Hybrid
Salary Band: 8 ($96,000 - $144,000 CAD)
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Master’s degree in health promotion, public health, health sciences, health communications, health policy or a related field with at least 10 years management experience, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
- 5-7 years of experience in cancer prevention, tobacco cessation, public health, nutrition, health promotion, or related field preferred.
- Knowledge and experience in implementing health promotion approaches and strategies at both the community, regional and national level.
- Knowledge and experience implementing health promotion approaches using health equity principles.
- Knowledge and experience with priority populations engagement.
- Training in program/project management, strategy, evaluation and performance management.
- Experience leading a multidisciplinary team.
- Experience managing complex and time-sensitive initiatives, programs and projects with multiple external and internal partners.
- Excellent people leadership skills with demonstrated success managing complex organizational environments.
- Experience with coordinating the development of proposals, briefs, and reports for diverse stakeholder audiences.
- Demonstrated experience in partnership development.
- Working knowledge of MS Office (Word/Excel/PowerPoint/Outlook).
- Experience in a multi-level, non-profit organization preferred.
- Experience in working with volunteers and students an asset.
- Bilingual in English and French required.
- Strong organizational skills, commitment to meeting deadlines, ability to prioritize, and attention to detail.
- Enthusiastic, positive, solutions-focused with a ‘can do’ attitude, strong collaborator, and relationship builder.
- Flexibility, ability to deal with competing priorities.
