We are looking for a seasoned Director Cargo Sales, Europe in Frankfurt, Germany who has experience and a passion for the air charter, aviation, freight forwarding, logistics or travel industry; thrives in a fast-paced environment and wants to grow with the global Chapman Freeborn Airchartering team.
Responsibilities:
PURPOSE OF THE ROLE
- To develop, in conjunction with the President - Europe requirements, strategies for Cargo Sales, as well as long and short terms objectives
- To work closely with the European country managers to align and coordinate sales activities for the commercial benefit of the Company and to provide solutions where issues arise
- To assist the Group by delivering new clients and enhancing existing customers business in Europe linking with global teams, by also utilising the supporting teams in the Europe region
- To maximise business opportunities by offering tailored solutions to meet client requirements within budgetary and operational restrictions whilst making suitable profit for the company
- Lead and manage the EU Cargo Sales team based on agreed KPIs
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE ROLE
- Responsible for developing and implementing the Cargo Sales Strategies (regional and local) and implementing related business objectives across the Group in line with President - Europe requirements
- Working in conjunction with Country Managers / Brokers, to develop with them, country specific plans in line with Cargo Sales Strategies and to support the maintenance of relationships with existing and new clients, as well as suppliers, to generate further business
- Monitor progress monthly against Cargo Strategies and report to the President - Europe bi-monthly (Feb/Apr/Jun/Aug/Oct/Dec) highlighting any issues or concerns making recommendations for action where applicable
- Provide leadership by example and hands-on support to Cargo Sales teams within the Europe region
- Foster a highly collaborative, commercial approach for inter-company business encouraging greater communication at all levels
- Lead and inspire the Cargo Sales teams by providing mentoring and ongoing training, whilst fostering an open, team spirited business culture
- To work in correlation with the President - Europe, Directors, Senior Management team, cargo and all other relevant teams across the group (where applicable)
- To work in conjunction with the yearly strategies laid out by the Executive Committee, Senior Management and Management Teams
