Here’s what you can expect as the Director, Value Based Care, Strategic Payor Account Management at DaVita.
The Director of Strategic Payor Account Management will join the Integrated Kidney Care (IKC) team – taking ownership for value-based care contract implementation, ongoing partner strategy and relationship management, partner collaboration pilots, and overall performance tracking to ensure program success. IKC is rapidly growing and a core part of this role will be standardizing customer success management processes, developing streamlined implementation plans, and leveraging new technology to ensure alignment in a matrixed organization while we work to scale sustainably. This role is highly cross-functional and will partner across many lanes. It will also be a highly visible role, working closely with executive leadership within DaVita and with our payor partners.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum of seven (7) years of experience within client services function, such as consulting, business development, customer success, and/or account management fields; track record of strong operational execution and business results
  • Bachelor’s degree required; MBA / Masters in related field a plus
  • Experience in healthcare preferred. Understanding of value-based care and/or shared risk partnerships a plus.
  • Strong executive communication skills, both presenting and material development
  • Strategic thinker who can also roll up their sleeves to meet the needs of their clients
  • Strong interpersonal skills to build credibility as a thought partner internally and externally

Responsibilities:

The following duties and responsibilities reflect the expectations of this position but are not intended to be all inclusive.

  • Support setting strategic direction for Commercial IKC Account Management function
  • Support our Payor Partnerships team in business development, including pitch meetings and existing account expansion efforts
  • Serve as account lead for large and strategic accounts and deliver service excellence
  • Mature our account planning and relationship management processes
  • Drive the development and presentation of business updates with payor partners
  • Track and manage to contract terms inclusive of performance targets and process measures
  • Oversee and optimize the process of launching and managing new programs, beginning from contract sign date through program implementation and term
  • Partner with operational, clinical, actuarial, finance, and IT teams to proactively and reactively respond to partner priorities
  • Develop and retain a strong team of individuals who are relationship and process-minded but also understand the operational, clinical, and financial aspects of IKC
  • Foster the DaVita Way by encouraging teammate contribution, respect, and support of all types of individuals.
  • 15-25% travel if/when travel is approved
