As Director, Corporate Development, you’ll lead the deal execution of EFE’s M&A efforts. We are looking for someone who is experienced in M&A, preferably in the wealth management space, and has experience leading deal processes from pre-LOI through transaction closing. The key focus will be managing the due diligence process of each transaction, which is comprised of legal due diligence, financial due diligence, and operational due diligence. This role will collaborate with, and lead, various internal and external stakeholders through that diligence process to successfully close transactions, while managing a high volume of information across multiple workstreams, identifying, and resolving issues as they arise during diligence, and effectively communicating and documenting all findings to be applied during integration. Strong relationship skills, and ability to effectively engage with the acquisition target, EFE’s external diligence consultants and EFE’s internal partners will be crucial. REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s degree in a required field or the equivalent in work experience
- 8+ years’ relevant work experience
- Experience leading M&A due diligence processes, preferably in the wealth management space
- Strong communication, organization and problem solving skills
Responsibilities:
- Lead EFE’s due diligence efforts to for EFE’s prospective acquisition targets
- Manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders (prospective acquisition target, external diligence consultants and internal partners) to ensure appropriate information is delivered, reviewed, analyzed and acted upon
- Clear and timely communication of issues identified during diligence, with ability to either address or creatively solve material problems
- Document diligence findings and ensure key learnings during diligence are captured by EFE’s internal integration teams to allow for a smooth integration process post-closing
