Responsibilities:

ROLE OVERVIEW:

We are seeking a seasoned analytical individual to join our marketing team as a Marketing Business Data Steward. As a critical piece of McAfee’s enterprise data management strategy, you will be responsible for owning the accuracy, integrity, and security of our marketing and customer-related data assets. The ideal candidate will have an expert understanding of marketing processes, data governance, and possess the ability to communicate effectively and manage cross-functional groups.
This is a remote role based out of the United States or Canada. We are only considering candidates based out of the United States or Canada and are not offering relocation at this time.

ABOUT THE ROLE:

  • Implement and enforce data governance policies and standards to maintain the quality and consistency of marketing data.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define data requirements and standards for marketing campaigns.
  • Drive clarity and alignment on sources of truth for metrics and KPIs, regularly reporting on the health of marketing data.
  • Monitor, analyze, and cleanse marketing data to ensure accuracy, completeness, and reliability in line with McAfee’s certification framework.
  • Work closely with IT and marketing technology teams to ensure seamless integration of marketing data across various systems and platforms.
  • Facilitate the mapping and transformation of data between different marketing tools and databases.
  • Drive definition, adoption and maturity of a best in class marketing taxonomy to provide downstream reporting accuracy.
  • Advocate for marketing data needs in broader enterprise data strategy discussions and planning.
  • Own data products, including datasets, for the marketing domain in tandem with the data domain business owner.
  • Create and update documentation for marketing data processes, standards, and procedures.
  • Conduct training sessions for marketing teams on data management best practices.
  • Investigate and resolve data-related issues in a timely manner, working closely with marketing analytics, data engineers and MarTech teams to address root causes.
  • Proactively identify and address data quality issues before they impact marketing campaigns.
  • Advocate for and enable self-service root cause analysis where possible and aligned with governing enterprise data standards.
