The Director of Data PlatformsandArchitecture will drive a holistic information management strategy across our platforms, develop reference architecture and roadmaps to build highly available, scalable, and distributed data platforms using open-source frameworks to process high volume, high velocity, and wide variety of structured and unstructured data. This role is also responsible for driving innovation, prototyping, and recommending solutions in enterprise data management and analytics space. Additionally, collaborate with key partners in the adoption of emerging technologies.

You will:

• Develop and manage the multi-year platform strategy covering enterprise data asset requirements, data architecture strategy, data services toolsets, usability architecture, operations, and underlying technology toolset
• Architect, design and enable capabilities in partnership with department heads and senior leaders to help achieve known strategic business goals and identify net new opportunities
• Work cross-functionally to collaborate and partner with business domain leads, data scientists, product owners, enterprise architects and other functional leads to deliver world class data solutions
• Lead the evaluation, prototyping and recommend open source, vendor technologies and platforms
• Lead engineering teams with focus on open-source streaming products, Microservices, Message Oriented Middleware, Stream processing, Master Data Management, Data Lakehouse, Data Fabric, Deep Analytic technologies, BI Reporting and Analytics and Cloud

Essential Requirements

• 10+ years of senior-level experience with data solution architecture, design, and development delivery experience
• Proven track of building platforms at-scale leveraging leading and emerging technologies with demonstrated leadership experience in architecting, designing, and building highly scalable application with mindset to think differently and operate with an outside-in view
• Enterprise scale expertise in data management best practices such as data integration, data security, data warehousing, data analytics, metadata management and data quality
• Extensive knowledge and experience in architecting modern data integration frameworks, highly scalable distributed systems using open source, hybrid-cloud, and emerging data architecture designs/patterns
• Significant knowledge of business models, operating models, financial models, cost-benefit analysis, budgeting, and risk management

Desirable Requirements

• Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in business, computer science, computer engineering, electrical engineering, system analysis or a related field of study, or equivalent experience
• Excellent analytical and technical skills, excellent written, verbal, communication, soft and interpersonal skills, including teamwork, negotiation, and presentation skills
