The Director, Diagnostics Insights and Alliances, Danaher Diagnostics, will report to the Senior Director, Pipeline Planning and Management. This individual will play an important role across ideation, funding, and execution phases of diagnostics innovation projects by providing scientific, clinical, and real world diagnostics insights and by managing one or more of ongoing alliances with our external partners. This position is part of the Chief Scientific Officer (CSO) Office and will be remote. Key responsibilities are to:
Drive excellence in clinical and diagnostics insights generation to identify and develop novel diagnostics products. Conduct the primary and secondary market insight assessment to identify unmet diagnostic needs and identify potential Diagnostics innovation opportunities - impacting the innovation and growth pathway for Danaher Diagnostics. Establish, maintain, and drive adoption of a structured approach for insight generation and use of cutting edge digital, research tools. This is expected to enable efficient synthesis of data from voice of customer, scientific, technology, clinical and real-world data sources across prioritized disease states/therapeutic areas of interest (neurodegenerative, infectious disease, oncology, and acute care setting). Key to success will be partnering with the CSO office disease area leadership and incubation teams in their search, evaluation, and initial diligence and incubation/de-risking efforts for biomarker innovation programs. This approach will also be leveraged to provide perspectives and recommendations regarding broader diagnostic market trends.

THE ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS OF THE JOB INCLUDE:

  • MBA and a bachelors’ degree in a scientific or engineering discipline. The incumbent is expected to bring significant scientific prowess but manages to translate insights into a solid business case.
  • At least 2 years of top tier management consulting experience with prior experience conducting, analyzing, and communicating qualitative and quantitative market research.
  • Demonstrated aptitude and creativity in triangulating and synthesizing complex data sources to derive clinical/scientific insights in the context of healthcare/biotech/diagnostics market space- leveraging scientific publications and conferences, KOL engagement, and large databases which may involve AI/ML tools.
  • Exceptional ability to balance multiple tasks and priorities in a fast paced and dynamic environment with the ability to embrace unexpected change and adapt to ensure forward progress
  • High EQ with a self-motivated, collaborative style that will drive trust and followership

    The salary range for this role is $175-$200,000. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future.
    This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay.
