Purpose & Overall Relevance for the Organization:
The Wholesale channel represents over 60% of the total adidas business and will continue to represent a major growth opportunity for our brand. Therefore, it is critical to maintain and establish best-in-class relationships with our partners & to deliver best-in-class consumer experiences, regardless of where they shop.
As the Director Digital Planning & Market Acceleration you will act as the main point of contact between global Digital Partner Commerce (DPC) and market Digital Wholesale teams. You will animate market digital Wholesale performance by leveraging the DPC performance dashboards and will co-own market “action plans” to secure the delivery of our Wholesale ambition. Furthermore, you will drive adoption of tools and methodologies and will secure consistency in approaches to digital Wholesale performance and execution. The director Digital Planning & Market Acceleration will also be responsible for animating the community of DPC business leads, fostering practice sharing and co-creation / input into global strategy and plans.
This role is part of the Digital Partner Commerce leadership team and is responsible for budget processes and adherence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Define Digital WHS business priorities jointly w/ stakeholders and drive joint planning process within team & with Global Digital where applicable
  • Validate business plans and ensure proposed roadmaps are maximizing ROI
  • Drive market engagement & adoption plans to ensure successful implementation Digital WHS initiatives across the board
  • Drive selected strategic digital projects and programs
  • Evolve the Digital WHS organizational setup (incl. people, skills, etc.) globally to address the business challenges, secure consistent roll-out and lead the effort globally to unlock the resources and investments
  • Play a key role in working with key Global Functions and Market Wholesale Leads to define strategic, organisation and process changes to ensure we are successful at implementation and execution of growth levers
  • Be the main point of contact for market DPC business leads and will be responsible for animating the community, foster practice sharing, identifying potential synergies and common challenges, and coordinate collective efforts to address them
  • Drive adoption by applying change management methodology and enable business groups to achieve understanding of changes to their work areas and their specific roles.

  • Contribute to build the talent and capability in the global WHS teams and in Markets
  • Animate progress review with markets on a regular cadence and positively challenge & influence market plans to deliver against joint targets
  • Owns budget process, tracking and communication for project budget & T&E
  • Drive executive communication by providing regular progress updates to the Executive Board & Senior Leadership Team

Requisite Education and Experience / Minimum Qualifications:

  • Cross-functional experience ideally with marketing / sales / finance / digital Business: minimum 8+ years’ work experience working and demonstrating strong business acumen and growing a business
  • Minimum 3+ years leading a team
  • Proven track record of delivering results in fast paced environment
  • Able to work with all hierarchies within company
  • Project- & program management experience
  • International have worked in more than one region
