Petco is a category-defining health and wellness company focused on improving the lives of pets, pet parents and Petco partners. We are 29,000 strong, working together across 1,500+ pet care centers, 250+ Vetco Total Care hospitals, hundreds of preventive care clinics, eight distribution centers and two support centers.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive DEI&B strategy aligned with the company’s mission, values, and business objectives.
  • Partner with senior leadership to integrate DEI&B principles into all aspects of the organization, including hiring, talent development, employee engagement, and business practices.
  • Support the design and delivery of training programs and workshops to increase awareness and understanding of diversity, equity, and inclusion topics.
  • Support Partner Resource Groups (ERGs) to foster year-round activation ad programming and support membership growth and engagement.
  • Establish metrics and tracking mechanisms to evaluate the effectiveness of DEI&B initiatives and make data-driven recommendations for improvement.
  • Collaborate with HR and other stakeholders to ensure that policies and practices promote diversity, equity, and inclusion throughout the employee lifecycle.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert and advisor to leadership and employees on DEI&B matters, providing guidance and support as needed.
  • Cultivate relationships with external partners, organizations, and communities to advance diversity and inclusion efforts and enhance the company’s reputation as an employer of choice.
  • Stay informed about best practices, trends, and developments in DEI&B and apply insights to continuously evolve and enhance the organization’s approach
