Responsibilities:

Title: Director, Engineering Support to Operations

  • Provide dedicated support to on-site leadership team, responsible for all engineering support for Global 5500/6500/7500 completions design, installation, certification, and delivery to customer.
  • Work in close collaboration with Global Engineering teams in both Montreal and Toronto to engage the right technical stakeholders to expedite problem solving under schedule constraints all while ensuring Safety and Quality are not compromised.
  • Perform supplier root cause investigations, manage supplier performance, and ensure our products have corrective actions to support delivery.
  • Responsible to support his/her peers for technical, project engineering management, as well as VP site governances, including evening and weekend support when required.
  • Manage a team of technical engineers to support escalation calls across working shifts.
  • Establish and Manage team budget/forecasting and reporting, including engineering service provider performance and costs.
  • Manage the adherence with Bombardier Engineering System (BES), Bombardier Manual (BM), for all processes related to sustaining product support.
  • Work in collaboration with the Methods, Logistics and Quality Leadership Team to define clear roles for engagement in supporting LBCC operations.
  • Be an active advocate of continuous improvement, and Adherence to BOE system, and be a catalyst for engaging our employees.
