Position Overview: As the EU HTA (Pipeline) Lead in the European Market Access Team, you will collaborate with colleagues globally and regionally from clinical development, medical affairs, regulatory affairs and commercial. Your primary responsibility is to develop together with the Market Access Director Hematology & Early Pipeline brand-level EU HTA strategies and evidence packages.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with global clinical and development teams to facilitate early and appropriate evidence generation in pivotal trials, identify gaps, and shape mitigation strategies for EUHTA.
  • Support and influence pivotal trial design and evidence plans based on external EU HTA JSC/payer advice.
  • Lead cross-functional EUHTA team to prepare JCA dossier and Joint Scientific Advise consultations
  • Collaborate closely with Regulatory Affairs and HEOR to align on launch sequencing and HTA strategies.
  • Foster consistent collaboration with EU affiliates to incorporate relevant country input and insights into early drug development.
  • Drive the internal PICO survey process to update and amend the EU HTA Strategy in alignment with other Global Access chapters, global functions, and EU affiliates.
  • Shape internal processes, procedures, and approaches to align with the emerging EU HTA environment, ensuring continuous readiness and success in all EU HTA-related activities.
  • Educate stakeholders on key EU Joint HTA developments.
  • Represent Beigene in EU HTA-related external activities.

  • Ideally hands-on experiences with EUnetHTA dossier preparation.

  • Strong strategic and commercial mindset at an appropriate seniority level.

Your Skills and Experience:

  • Masters or Doctoral level degree in a relevant discipline (MD, PharmD, PhD, or MSc).
  • 10 years or more years of pharmaceutical industry experience or Pharma Consultancy, preferably in an EU country, regional, or an HTA/reimbursement agency.
  • Extensive understanding of HTA (EU/national/overall), including regulatory bodies, processes, pathways, and payer needs.
  • Leadership skills to embed EU HTA Evidence requirements into the Clinical Development Plan and pivotal trials.
  • Previous expertise in conducting network meta-analyses (NMA) and/or applying evolving methodologies in health economic modeling is preferred.
  • Computer Skills: Standard Computer Skills required
  • Travel: Approximately 30% of time
