We are currently seeking a talented individual to join our Facilities Management team!
We are filling a key leadership position – the Director, Facilities Management. This position leads a team in a client-focused approach to meeting the facilities management needs of Yukon government. You will thrive in this role if you are a strong communicator and a strategic planner capable of supporting a diverse team in providing exceptional service. You are able to lead a branch while empowering innovation and ensuring a high standard for safety.

ABOUT US…

The Property Management Division of Highways and Public Works builds and maintains government buildings and provides real property management to ensure safe workplaces for Yukon government employees and public access to government services. We manage Yukon government building assets by delivering planning, design, project management, maintenance, security, cleaning and grounds-keeping services throughout the Yukon. We employ tradespeople, analysts, labourers, administrators and more - there are a variety of exciting career opportunities.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS (WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR IN YOUR RESUME):

  • Post-secondary coursework, from an accredited institution, in related field (eg: Operations Management, Project Management, Trade Certification, or other relevant field of study);
  • Significant experience managing large, diverse program including providing operational and strategic recommendations, and managing financial resources and assets;
  • Significant experience leading and managing a multi-disciplinary team of professionals; and
  • Experience engaging with and achieving positive outcomes with diverse clients including internal and external stakeholders and professional service personnel.
  • Experience in Facilities and Property Management would be an asset.
  • Experience in Procurement and Contract management would be an asset.
  • Experience in Occupational Health & Safety would be an asset.

Candidates who have education, training and/or experience equivalent to the essential qualifications listed above will be equally considered.
