We are on the lookout for an experienced Director of Finance to spearhead and mold our financial strategy in the European Union (EU). In this pivotal role, you will be entrusted with ensuring the financial integrity of our company in the EU, while innovating solutions to exceed our financial objectives. - Act as the primary liaison for the Finance Department in the region
- Oversee general ledger, accounts receivable, accounts payable, and asset accounting
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and semi-annual financial statements in accordance with the German Commercial Code (HGB)
- Ensure accurate and timely month-end processes, including comprehensive reconciliations
- Assist in the preparation of annual financial statements by liaising with tax advisors or auditors
- Proactively establish financial controlling and informative reporting systems
- Serve as the point of contact for banks, tax consultants, auditors, insurance companies, financial service providers, shareholders, etc., in the region
- Lead, manage, and develop the regional finance team
- Take charge of short, medium, and long-term corporate planning and intra-year forecasts for the region
- Prepare variance analyses and conduct plausibility checks
- Manage liquidity planning and liquidity management
- Provide guidance on business management issues in project planning
- Ensure timely tax application for VAT, wage tax, and CIT in the countries within the region
- Support in due diligence and M&A processes
- Identify cost-saving potentials and actively participate in their realization
- Analyze existing processes and systems, and devise optimization measures accordingly
- Participate in team, departmental, and general meetings
