Join our team as the Director of Food & Beverage Performance at The Star Brisbane.
The Star Brisbane, positioned at the heart of the new Queen’s Wharf Brisbane precinct, will be Australia’s newest entertainment and leisure destination. Commencing a staged opening in 2024, The Star Brisbane will bring a range of unique entertainment options, world class hotels, dining, bars, luxury retail, gaming, and a state-of-the-art Event Centre, transforming how people will play, shop and socialise in the river city.
In this role you will be tasked in managing new concepts, venue development and business improvement initiatives as you partner with our Marketing team to drive revenue and visitation for our F&B outlets. Developing and retaining talent across the F&B team will be a key responsibility of this role. In partnership with our People & Performance team, along with your direct leadership within the F&B Performance team.

ABOUT US

The $3.6 billion Queen’s Wharf Brisbane development is being delivered by Destination Brisbane Consortium – a joint venture led by The Star Entertainment Group alongside its partners.
When complete, Queen’s Wharf Brisbane will deliver four new luxury hotels, more than 50 new food and beverage experiences, significant luxury retail, the restoration of nine heritage buildings and around 1,500 residential apartments.

Responsibilities:

  • Identification, implementation and monitoring of improvement opportunities in partnership with the F&B Transformation Team to support sustained EBITDA improvements and guest excellence.
  • Enabling F&B venues in the achievement of their financial/ commercial targets.
  • Facilitating the effective control of food, beverage and labour costs.
  • Working with business owners in the development and implementation of business plans for F&B which are aligned with the overarching property F&B strategy.
  • Recommending strategies/ initiatives to the General Manager, relating to increasing repeat patronage of guests, driving revenue/ increased cheque or decreasing costs to meet budget.
  • Working with the Guest Experience team to build a culture of consistent guest excellence, to continuously meet and improve service standards.
  • Ensuring that all inbound and outbound outlet bookings and reservations are done effectively with maximum yielding of bookings and a seamless experience for guests.
  • Providing excellent F&B oriented training which yields ongoing benefits for team members and guests.
