Description:

The Director for Work Life Engagement serves as the Chief Human Resources Officer for the university, providing direction and oversight of personnel and human resource functions for faculty, staff, and students. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, managing employment, benefits, payroll, wage & salary administration, training, and employee relations. The director is responsible for monitoring compliance with applicable laws and regulations, and recommending changes in policies, procedures, and programs as a result of external and internal changes. The director manages a staff of 3 employees, serves as the university Title IX Co-Coordinator, and is a member of the university MOSAIC (Diversity), Policy Advisory and Risk Management committees. The director is instrumental in building a strong, vibrant culture and integration of University values and mission.

QUALIFICATIONS:

The successful candidate will have a Bachelors degree (Masters preferred) plus a minimum of 5 years of comparable experience in human resources. Candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to manage multiple priorities and effectively work with a wide range of internal and external constituents. Excellent oral and written communication skills required. Technology skills (Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, HRM system experience) are essential. Experience conducting investigations, managing benefits, administering wage & salary programs, and developing training programs are desired. Must be able to demonstrate a commitment to inter-cultural competence and diversity. Must meet university lifestyle expectations.
