Responsibilities:

  • Guide and support the deployment of a data governance agenda to accelerate trust and utilization of data. Experience with the implementation of metadata management, data catalog, data quality framework, and data protection protocols are required for the role. The incumbent is expected to help drive the field around organizational data governance policies and standards, principles, metrics, processes, related technology and governance framework.
  • Identify and engage key regional data governance partners and stewards to ensure clear accountability for planning and completing data governance priorities. Serve as a liaison between our Segment leadership, data owners, and technology partners to influence change and drive adoption of the data governance practices.
  • Act as a product owner of an enterprise data catalogue to enable effective data discovery and optimized user experience in locating and accessing the right data efficiently.
  • Drive the development and management of data access and sharing framework and policies that support the needs users and meets internal controls requirements at the global and reginal levels. Partner with Privacy, Compliance, Architecture and Data Management teams to establish leading practices, processes and integration patterns with available technology capabilities.
  • Promote a data-driven culture through data literacy programs and communication. Develop and deliver a data literacy curriculum, organize training sessions and lead data user forums at various levels of organization.
  • Define and measure critical metrics/indicators of data governance outcome delivery - demonstrate and communicate the business value in Data Governance to all levels of the organization.
  • Innovate and continuously improve the practices and outcomes. Evaluate/conduct review of new and existing data governance technologies and capabilities to ensure optimized, value-driven outcomes. Explore, document and present solution alternatives that improve processes and business objectives.
  • Lead and empower a forward-thinking, high-impact team. Provide mentorship and take accountability for career development of direct reports.
