Key responsibilities for this role include:

  • The Director Global MQA Excellence acts as the delegate of the MQA Lead to drive quality management, inspection readiness, training, process improvements, and oversight needed to ensure high quality performance of the Viatris Medical Organization at global, regional and country level, as well ensure the compliance of the promotional materials review process.
  • The Director MQAE is responsible for optimum effectiveness of Global MQA operations and drives global and regional MQA strategic initiatives, operations and projects
  • The Director MQAE will drive design, consistency and oversight of Global Medical Procedures in partnership with Global Medical Leadership and the Medical Compliance
  • The Director MQAE is accountable for building capabilities of the MQA function ensuring consistent execution of activities
  • The Director MQAE will be an active thought Leader in Medical Quality, drawing upon best practice to identify new ways of working and drive continuous improvement that generate value whilst providing insights to senior stakeholders
  • The Director of MQAE will undertake selected activities for and on behalf of the MQA Lead and act on behalf or represent the MQA Lead as needed

The minimum qualifications for this role are:

  • Preferred education: Scientific or technical Bachelor or Masters degree
  • Over 5 years’ experience in compliance/SOP management, auditing, QA/QC or related field with a minimum of 10 years in pharma
  • Demonstrated experience of aligning senior stakeholders and facilitating conflict
  • Experience in leading direct or matrix teams
  • Understanding pharmaceutical promotional compliance environment
  • Previous experience in a role involved in the drug development process
  • Broad understanding of the Drug Development Process with an appreciation of the complexities and highly regulated environment in particular the regulatory compliance issues relating to the medical affairs function
  • Prior experience in Quality Control/ Assurance
