Description:

LexisNexis is expanding our global sales performance function. We are seeking highly accomplished professionals with proven track records to standardize our global sales training approach and drive execution of a best-in-class sales training program worldwide. The Senior Global Sales Trainer will be responsible for designing, developing, and delivering sales training programs to increase the effectiveness of our global sales teams. In this role, you will deliver core sales training programs to sales teams, including e-learning modules, instructor-led sessions, webinars, workshops, and coaching sessions. You will be responsible for helping new hires hit revenue targets more quickly, experienced reps sell more effectively, and managers further develop their skills and those of their team members.
This role requires 10+ years of sales, sales enablement, or sales training experience, with a track record of successfully coaching sales professionals across regions and aligning training initiatives to business goals. This role reports centrally and supports each of LexisNexis’s global business units.
This is a remote position initially supporting North American sales teams with potential to cover sales teams globally. Must be able to travel throughout the North America region on a regular basis (up to 25%) to deliver trainings.

Responsibilities:

  • Partner with sales and business unit leadership to design, develop, deliver, and improve sales training programs.
  • Develop and evolve training curriculum to meet the needs of each sales organization over time.
  • Create engaging sales training programs that successfully onboard new hires as well as continue to develop experienced sales professionals.
  • Develop high-quality training content such as presentations, role playing activities, reference guides, and takeaway materials.
  • Plan all elements of training sessions and coordinate logistics for participants.
  • Facilitate engaging training sessions actively involving participants and utilizing their experiences to illustrate key concepts and bring the material to life.
  • Identify relevant subject matter experts and incorporate them into training sessions to provide valuable perspectives and enrich the learning experience.
  • Maintain training content library and partner with business units to identify and close key gaps.
  • Deploy content in multiple forms of media to ensure sales reps have access when they are available (e.g., live, on-demand, document library).
  • Provide coaching and mentorship to sales professionals at all levels to reinforce training concepts.
  • Monitor and evaluate training programs, analyze results, and implement enhancements as needed to ensure the effectiveness of all classes and programs.
  • Monitor and implement top instructional techniques, technology, and adult education methodologies that lead to successful learning outcomes.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree (advanced degree preferred)
  • 10+ years of demonstrated successful sales experience across sales, sales enablement, and/or, sales training
  • Deep expertise in sales methodologies and processes such as Challenger, MEDDIC, Solution Selling, Consultative Selling, Value-Based Selling, and others
  • Excellent facilitation and presentation skills
  • Instructional design skills and experience developing training curricula
  • Strong leadership, collaboration and teambuilding skills
