JOB DESCRIPTION
We are hiring a Director, Healthcare Outcomes and Evaluation. Reporting to the Senior Directory, Healthcare Strategy & Analytics, the Director is accountable for developing evaluating frameworks including health and system outcomes for health & wellness strategic initiatives and opportunities to drive strategy and growth.
The director will collaborate with cross-functional teams, senior leadership across the enterprise, and external partners to evaluate, prioritize, and establish strategic initiatives and the related roadmaps and execution plans.
About you:
You have a strong background in evaluation of healthcare initiatives and in health outcomes. You are a proven leader, effective communicator, and bring a collaborative mindset. You have extensive experience using data and analytics to drive decision-making based on complex information.
What You’ll Do:
- Develop and oversee evaluation initiatives from planning to execution
- Develop best practice guidance based on evidence and research to guide evaluation, clinical outcomes and health system outcomes
- Work in partnership with technology and analytics teams to generate actionable business and outcomes intelligence and evaluate emerging opportunities
- Develop and refine use cases, opportunity assessments, outcomes models, and other related business planning material
- Lead day-to-day coordination of cross-functional, enterprise-wide implementation and execution planning, resolving issues as needed
- Use superior PowerPoint and written communication skills to develop clear and captivating presentations for senior leadership, cross-functional team members and potential external partners.
- Become the subject matter expert in relevant areas of healthcare, as well as relevant regulatory and industry development
What You’ll Need:
- University degree with a concentration in Health Sciences, and/or Engineering (or similar program)
- Master’s or PhD degree preferred in relevant field to program evaluation and health outcomes
- 7+ years of experience in healthcare sector with a proven track record of successes
- Strong background in program evaluation, health outcomes, business strategy and healthcare analytics required
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Excellent PowerPoint and Excel skills
- Must be able to work with complex data sets to form analytic and reporting solutions and collaborate with colleagues to align on statistical and other methods to derive valid analyses
- Ability to be proactive on deliverables
- Ability to lead and manage projects across cross-functional teams to achieve business goals
- Ability to understand healthcare regulatory frameworks and the dynamics of the Canadian healthcare ecosystem
- Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills, combined with highly refined communication and interpersonal skills
