The office of the Chief Human Resource Officer is responsible for driving the People and Culture Strategic priorities across the organization in support of the Next Prudential Strategy of an engaged, high performing workforce and an organization model that support the replication of success across the organization at pace and scale. The office of the CHRO is a key interface into the Organization Transformation Office for all People Workstream activities and is responsible to drive the delivery of the Strategic HR Roadmap through setting up the right HR Operating Model.
The Director, HR Transformation is a strategic role focused on implementing an effective HR operating model that aligns with our business goals. It supports the HR function in setting up the brilliant operating model basic of through the adoption of world-class system & process, and operating excellence practices. This role requires a visionary leader with a proven track record in transforming HR functions to drive efficiency, effectiveness, and employee engagement. The role will lead project management efforts related to HR process improvements, change initiatives, operational excellence and technology implementations.

Principal Accountabilities:

  • Work closely with Head of HR Operations, Tech and Insights to implement a best-in-class operating model for the HR function in accordance with design principles and to reach key milestones.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership and cross-functional teams to refine the HR operating model framework and design.
  • Develop and implement processes, policies, and procedures that enhance efficiency, effectiveness, and employee experience.
  • Ensure alignment with organizational strategy and culture.
  • Working closely with subject matter experts and other stakeholders to deliver HR transformation priorities and work towards the realization of the HR vision and programme objectives.
  • Champion continuous improvement and change management efforts within HR, fostering a culture of innovation and agility. Foster collaboration and communication across departments.
  • Support Change Management and people transition efforts in areas such as communications, stakeholder management, training etc. Communicate HR Op Model changes effectively to employees, addressing concerns and ensuring smooth transitions.
  • Define key performance indicators (KPIs) for the HR operating model and regularly track and report on KPIs to measure success and identify areas for improvement.
  • Project manage selected strategic initiatives under which are enablers of the HR Operating Model. (e.g Talent acquisition, budget and workforce planning, HR security model, Shared Services Setup, etc)
  • Provide HR consultative guidance / advice to the management team on topics which include implementation of digital tools, people insights dashboard, HR platforms integration, HR service delivery and operational excellence related matters.
  • Support the COEs and Head of HR Operations Tech and Insights in writing the associated business case, RFP in line with the strategic initiative requirements and track the value realization.
  • Facilitate the alignment between the HR Centre of Excellence and the HR Operations, Tech, and Insights team so as to achieve the desired HR Operating Model outcomes.
  • Engage with key stakeholders (HR business partners, executives, and employees) to gather requirements, provide updates, and ensure successful project outcomes.
  • Manage the vendor performance and relations with the consulting partner and program scope during the project phase of transformation and ensure smooth transition into BAU operating model.
  • The role will ensure the delivery of quality program output which include the development of process maps, procedures, guidelines, and documentation by our external partner in line with the standards as defined by the Process Excellence director in HR Operations, Technology and Insight team and as agreed with the accountable COE / Process Owner.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in HR Transformation and Change Management, having implemented a new target operating model (operating model, structure, process, ways of working and governance) for one or more organizations.
  • Previous HR Transformation experience to include but not limited to: HR activity analysis, detailed HR organisation design, capability reviews, change management, and workforce transition planning.
  • Innovative thinking – Ability to lead innovative and/or transformative projects and strives for continuous improvements.
  • Analytical thinking - Exceptional ability to analyze data and utilize it to make sound business decision.
  • Stakeholder oriented – Demonstrate strong focus on stakeholder satisfaction while maintaining high ethics and professional integrity in all interactions.
  • Communication skills – Demonstrate strong communication and collaboration skills necessary to lead and manage teams and projects effectively.
  • Relationship building skills – Ability to work within a dynamic team setting and provide leadership to build and develop strong teams.
  • Solid understanding of business planning processes and key business metrics to be achieved.
  • Flexible and capable to manage the end-to-end HR transformation workstreams in a complex global/territory capacity.
  • Ability to work with different levels of stakeholders to develop relationships, establish credibility and instill confidence.
  • Prior experience and/or familiarity with agile strategies and some of the relevant HC technologies would be of benefit.
