JOB SUMMARY

If you are looking for an opportunity in Human Resources, Emerson has an excellent role for you! Based in Singapore, the Director Human Resources will provide HRBP support to the Asia Pacific Pressure Management (PRM) and Isolation Valve (ISV) Business Units, and lead the Talent, Leadership and Learning for Final Control. This job plays an important role in creating a positive work culture that encourages and motivates optimal employee performance that is aligned to the Company’s strategic direction.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS THAT SET YOU APART:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent.
  • Relevant work experience leading a HR function either as a generalist or a Talent Management expert

Responsibilities:

IN THIS ROLE, YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES WILL BE:

  • HR Business Partner for PRM and ISV
  • Serve as a HR Business Partner to the PRM and ISV Business Units by providing HR guidance and counsel to drive the appropriate people decisions.
  • Responsible for leading, implementing and executing the organization’s HR strategy, key projects, and initiatives within Asia Pacific in partnership with Plant/Site HR leaders.
  • Responsible for being a steward of the company culture, including ethics, integrity, and safety. This includes working with the BU and Site HR teams to ensure completion of Emerson’s mandatory ethics and compliance training.
  • Drive Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion efforts for the business to strengthen company culture and talent development.
  • Be responsible to ensure an effective succession/organization plan is in place to develop our talent pipeline/bench strength.
  • Manage and coordinate the annual Talent and Organizational review processes including preparation for regional and global submissions.
  • Act as an organizational and simplification champion who builds organizational capabilities, reduces complexity and partners with our BUs to maximize team performance.
  • Provide timely, effective, and direct coaching and employee support to business leaders and employees, assisting in the development of strong, contemporary horizontal leadership skills.
  • Oversees the annual Your Voice Counts survey activities across sites and ensures follow up and improvement actions.
  • Support the Senior HR Director in the planning and execution of some critical / key projects across sites in Asia Pacific.
  • Provide HR metrics to global and world area BU management to track desired cadence for overall human resource management plans. This would include tracking the completion of goal setting and performance management cycles.
  • Participate as a strategic member of the BU Asia Pacific Leadership Team (APLT), Asia Pacific HR Leadership Team (HRLT), and Global HR Leadership Team to contribute important HR initiatives and decisions.
  • Coach and counsel site HR leaders where needed and share best practices to enhance the standard and capability of our teams.
  • Talent, Leadership and Learning Lead for Final Control AP
  • Support the Senior HR Director in planning the annual Organization Review exercise; and ensure consistency in the process across all sites.
  • Coordinate with the sites to ensure post Organization Review actions are developed and executed according to plan.
  • Conduct organizational needs analysis and lead the development of appropriate plans and programs to ensure all employees have the skills, knowledge, and experience to perform and excel in their roles.
  • To deliver and/or oversee the delivery of learning & development activities across Final Control AP.
  • Ensure mandatory development programs are deployed with leverage and consistency
  • Drive greater structure and focus on Individual Development Plans for key employee groups, inclusive of follow-through.
  • Coordinate and plan for employee and manager communication sessions including proposing the agenda, developing the appropriate material and facilitating the program.

FOR THIS ROLE, YOU WILL NEED:

  • Experience in leading business and/or developing strategy and value propositions.
  • Good analytical skills and comfortable presenting key insights and trends.
  • Ability to train and facilitate programs and leadership dialogues.
  • Demonstrated leadership, organizational, communication - written, verbal and presentation skills.
  • Good interpersonal skills with the ability to work with a cross regional and global teams.
  • Ability to think long term vision and plan for success.
  • Ability to travel, where needed, throughout Asia Pacific region.
