    The Director Human Resources provides leadership as well as strategic and operational direction in the development, integration, review and coordination of all people and workforce matters across the Health Services governed by the Hospital.
    The role leads a team of HR professionals in a business partnering model and ensures timely and high quality provision of people and culture related services to the executive team, managers and staff to optimise workforce capacity and enhance organisational performance in the provision of patient care.

    Position Classification: Health Manager Level 5
    Remuneration: $161,042 - $180,143 per annum
    Hours Per Week: 40
    Location: Westmead

Responsibilities:

As the Director Human Resources you will report directly into the General Manager Westmead Hospital and manage a team of HR professionals for a hospital that has over 6000 employees. Your role involves:

  • Providing leadership and strategic direction in driving the workforce strategy across Westmead Hospital.
  • Acting as a coach and trusted advisor, partnering with the Executive team to develop and implement people strategies and practices.
  • Adapting a proactive approach in improving leadership capability, enhancing employee engagement and optimising organisational effectiveness, collaborating with the district People and Culture teams and centres of expertise.
  • Supporting organisational change through strategic planning and workforce initiatives.
