Overview:
The Director, International Channel Development will report to the Vice President, International Channel Development and will help build and manage international partners. This leader is responsible for developing and managing both the operations and the sales development of our international partners. In addition, this sales leader will assist the VP, International Channel Development in the expansion of the overall international business development strategy.
In the initial stages of PowerSchool’s international expansion, the position will focus on channel sales management, managing the partners’ sales and opportunities to help them meet and exceed revenue goals. This is a dynamic role that will evolve as the international program develops. As partners develop, the role will shift towards scaling the channel partner ecosystem and opportunities to growth at scale with our current partners.

- Meets assigned targets for profitable sales volume and strategic objectives in assigned partner accounts.
- Proactively assesses, clarifies, and validates partner needs on an ongoing basis.
- Manages potential channel conflict with other firm sales channels by fostering excellent communication internally and externally, and through strict adherence to channel rules of engagement.
- Works closely with sales teams within the channel partner to identify go to market activities.
- Completes monthly and quarterly reporting on sales KPI’s within channel partners.
- Establishes productive, professional relationships with key personnel in assigned partner accounts.
- Coordinates the involvement of company personnel, including marketing, support, services, and executive management resources, to meet partner performance objectives and partners’ expectations.
- Transforms and documents the Sales aspects of partner contracts into plans, milestones, goals, and deadlines.
- Seeks mutually beneficial opportunities with partners in the region to best represent PowerSchool’s suite of products.
- Ensures partner compliance with partner agreements.
- Enlists the support of sales specialists, implementation resources, service resources, and other sales and management resources as needed.
- Closely coordinates company executive involvement with partner and end-user customer management.
- Works closely with Customer Service Representatives to ensure customer satisfaction and problem resolution.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:

QUALIFICATIONS INCLUDE:
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent
- Experience developing and managing an international channel partner program.
- Previous experience of driving channel sales ideally within the same product category and channel.
- Minimum 10 years’ experience in an international Sales or Sales Management role or equivalent including education technology solutions within the defined territory, ideally selling into K-12.
- Proven success with a track record of hitting sales targets and building and delivering high-quality service to our partners and customers.
- Experience using CRM Systems (Salesforce.com preferred).
- Experience managing and coaching team members and building high-performing teams.
- Highly credible leader and able to demonstrate understanding of the relevant prospect operations and strategies and linking them to the relevant PowerSchool solutions and high value propositions that go beyond technology.
- Ability to work very well with others, this role requires a significant amount of collaboration with others across various cultures, organizations, departments, and time zones.
- Ability to be independent and proactive.
- Ability to thrive and adapt in an environment that is sometimes ambiguous or difficult to define as we cross multiple divisions and product/services boundaries in the solutions we take to market.
- Excellent communicator, including group presentations, written, verbal, and people skills.
- Candidate must be able to frequently travel both domestically and internationally.
