Description:
What You’ll Do:
The Principal Financial Group is seeking a Director Leadership and Talent Development! Leading a team of talent management professionals, this position will develop and deploy a global enterprise vision and strategy to ensure the organization’s talent practices, leadership efficiency, learning and development, and performance management are outstanding so our people can deliver on our promises.
As the Director Leadership and Talent Development, you’ll:
- Build and deploy global strategy, including capabilities assessment and long-term skill development to ensure employees and leaders are prepared to deliver against evolving business strategies. This includes ccraftingand deploying a continuous learning system and investing in learning programs for priority topics.
- Collaborate with HR and data partners to develop, assess and integrate compelling data analysis to make recommendations on where to focus and how to work most effectively. Collaborate on people dashboard metrics.
- Consultant/Advocate – Drive leadership awareness, leadership efficiency, accountability for the learning and building talent. Partner with global partners to bring the strategy to life and ensure the global, scalable learning capabilities for all employees. Establish relationship with key internal partners to ensure alignment. Serve as subject matter expert and internal consultant regarding leadership efficiency, learning and development, performance management and career growth. Partner with HR team and recommend proactive solutions. Be an advocate for employees across the organization at all levels to ensure the organization best understands their needs and supports them appropriately.
- Lead all aspects of talent management systems, processes and tools, including simplification of the global talent and performance management process and tools. Ensure that simplified processes and tools are coordinated across the globe. Including, but not limited to, the introduction and utilization of the proficiency model, performance management system, global mobility processes, assessment practices and where relevant, the integration of these with the organization’s HR systems.
- Development and execution of career growth and mobility strategies and programs to support business growth and retention and engagement.
- Provide formal leadership and serve as a mentor for the team. Provide advice and direction on human resources and leadership processes and procedures.
Who You Are:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent required, plus 10+ years related work experience; knowledge/skills in change management, organization design models/processes and workforce planning/succession planning and coaching required
- MBA or MS in Industrial Psychology or HR Development preferred
- Strong relationship-building talents with the ability to influence at the executive, business unit and organization levels is critical
- Project management talents with a strong result driven orientation, demonstrable experience managing and driving organizational change
- Organization Development background preferred with an ability to assess organizational efficiency issues and develop proactive strategic solutions
- Demonstrated talents in advanced planning/organization, problem-solving, workforce analytics and decision-making required
- Maintenance of confidentiality
- Knowledge of company and business unit products a plus
Salary Range Information: Salary ranges below reflect targeted base salaries. Non-sales positions have the opportunity to participate in a bonus program. Sales positions are eligible for sales incentives, and in some instances a bonus plan, whereby total compensation may far exceed base salary depending on individual performance. Actual compensation for all roles will be based upon geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer. Salary Range: $137000 - $185000 / year Time Off Program: Flexible Time Off (FTO) is provided to salaried (exempt) employees and provides the opportunity to take time away from the office with pay for vacation, personal or short-term illness. Employees don’t accrue a bank of time off under FTO and there is no set number of days provided. Pension Eligible: Yes Additional Information:
