At Semikron-Danfoss we manufacture power modules for our customers in the automotive, energy and industrial sectors. For our Automotive division, we are looking for a newly created position located at one of our sites in Flensburg or Nuremberg, Germany.
BACKGROUND & SKILLS
You have successfully completed a degree in mechanical engineering, materials science, process engineering or an equivalent technical field and several years of experience in a customer quality leadership role in the automotive business.
In addition, we would like to see:
- Experience in a full scope IATF 16949 business environment with an ISO/TS 16949 Lead Auditor certificate.
- Experience in a leadership role with effective communication skills and coaching know-how.
- Problem solving and root cause analysis experience as well as focus on continuous improvement.
- Fluent Business English skills, German skills are a plus.

Responsibilities:
In this role, you will lead exceptional customer experience for our Automotive division. This includes leading a global team of 12 people (in total), including 5 managers, to improve customer experience by partnering closely with sales, engineering and operations. This position will lead fast customer responsiveness, drive continuous improvement, improve quality scorecards and develop close customer intimacy.
Your main tasks are:
- Lead and develop a team who will serve as the main point of contact for customer complaints and improvements. Lead cross-functional problem solving to investigate quality issues, minimize customer impact and ensure fast resolution.
- Lead and carry out the global customer quality improvement strategy.
- Visit customers and travel to review products and applications as the customer is using them and to foster customer intimacy.
- Drive the organization’s 8D completion & lessons learned through proper root cause analysis.
- Partner closely with sales to develop customer transparency and trust by sharing strategic roadmap and by resolving problems promptly.
- Share best practices and lead global reviews as well as regular visits to Semikron-Danfoss sites to verify the effectiveness of corrective actions as needed.
