Description:

Our client is seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Director of Business Development to join their team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, driving brand development, and overseeing marketing and operational strategies to achieve organizational goals. As a key member of our leadership team, the Director of Business Development will also play a crucial role in building and managing a high-performing team.

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities to drive revenue growth and market expansion.
  • Develop and execute strategies to enhance brand awareness and positioning in the market.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment of marketing and operational efforts with business objectives.
  • Build and nurture relationships with potential clients, partners, and stakeholders.
  • Lead negotiations and contract discussions to secure new business partnerships.
  • Provide strategic guidance and support to the team to achieve business development targets.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, market dynamics, and competitor activities.
  • Manage and mentor team members to foster a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in business development or sales, preferably in the computer hardware, tech/gaming or a related field.
  • Experience in setting up operations in a new location, including: identifying sales pipeline, setting up an ecommerce website, recruiting, and locating vendors, etc.
  • Proven experience in business development, preferably in tech/gaming industry.
  • Strong understanding of marketing principles and operational strategies.
  • Demonstrated ability to generate new business and build strong client relationships.
  • Strong knowledge of the German market and business landscape.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Proactive and self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, target-driven environment.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, marketing, or a related field; MBA preferred.
  • Fluency in English and Mandarin would be beneficial.
