Position: Director of Communications
Job Status: Full-time, Onsite
Location: 960 Quayside Dr, New Westminster, BC V3M 6G2
Expected Start Date: Immediately
Reports to: Head of Marketing and VP of Marketing
Working Hours: Mon to Friday
Salary: 80,000-130,000

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or a related field. Master’s degree preferred.
- Proven experience (minimum of 5 years) in a similar role, preferably in a corporate environment.
SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills with impeccable attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to think strategically and creatively, with a track record of developing innovative communication initiatives.
- Demonstrated experience in media relations, crisis communication, and PR campaigns.
- Proficiency in digital communication tools and platforms.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to multitask and meet tight deadlines.
- Experience managing a team and working collaboratively across departments.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
WHAT WILL YOU DO
The Communications Director will play a crucial role in shaping and executing the communication strategy of Primacorp Ventures Inc. and its subsidiaries. This position requires an experienced, dynamic, and strategic thinker with exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of developing and implementing successful communication initiatives across various channels, managing projects that involve different stakeholders.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop and Implement Communication Strategy: Create and execute a comprehensive communication strategy aligned with the company’s objectives and values.
- Media Relations: Build and maintain strong relationships with media outlets, journalists, and key influencers. Act as the primary point of contact for media inquiries and opportunities.
- Public Relations: Develop and oversee PR campaigns to enhance the company’s reputation and visibility. Manage crisis communication effectively and proactively.
- Internal Communication: Develop and implement strategies to ensure clear and consistent communication internally, fostering a transparent and engaged organizational culture.
- Content Creation: Oversee the creation of high-quality content, including press releases, articles, blog posts, digital ad copy and social media content. Ensure all content is aligned with the company’s messaging and brand guidelines.
- Digital Communication: Drive the company’s digital communication efforts, including website content, email marketing, and social media channels. Monitor and analyze digital metrics to measure the effectiveness of communication initiatives.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with internal teams, external partners, and stakeholders to align communication efforts and maximize impact.
- Executive Communication: Provide communication support to senior leadership, including speech writing, presentation preparation, and media training.
- Budget Management: Manage the communications budget effectively, ensuring resources are allocated strategically and efficiently.
- Staff Management: Manage a team of communications, content, marketing and design professionals
