About the role…
Avove are recruiting for a Director of Design & Engineering to lead the successful delivery of the design, engineering, and environmental services.
This is a strategic leadership role, suiting someone with design and build understanding and experience with a passion to continue to develop the team as a centre of excellence for innovation and technical authority.
The team form a central pillar of the Avove offering of agile, expert and responsible engagement with our blue-chip customer base, where we focus totally on a solutions-based approach to solving our customer challenges, whilst leading on viewing all that we do through a practical lens on ESG.
This role will shape the future of the design, engineering and environmental services across our water sector and will work collaboratively with the Account Directors and Business Development team to identify and implement fresh thinking.
This role will report into the Business Operations Director. The role has 5 direct reports and 100+ indirect reports.
About you…
You will have extensive experience working in a design and build leadership roles, experience within the water sector is not essential as you will have a team of experts around you. You will have a proven track record of successfully leading design and build teams and delivering major projects on time and within budget. You will have excellent leadership skills and the ability to effectively collaborate and adapt your style with external clients and internal stakeholders.
