The Role
Cheadle Hulme School are seeking to appoint an experienced, high performing and motivated individual to take the lead on strategic oversight of the School’s Finances and Human Resources.
Overview:
As a pivotal member of the Senior Leadership Team (SLT) at Cheadle Hulme School, the Director of Finance and HR holds strategic oversight of the School’s Finances and Human Resources, ensuring alignment with organisational aims and objectives. This multifaceted role involves close collaboration with the Head, Governors, and SLT members to foster a culture of excellence and ensure that the School remains at the forefront of professional support practices.
Main Responsibilities
Supported by dedicated Finance and HR teams, the Director of Finance and HR will play a crucial role in ensuring the School has the financial resources and personnel necessary to deliver exceptional education. Working closely with the Head on a day-to-day basis, the role holder will provide timely financial and HR support to facilitate strategic and operational decision-making. Additionally, the post holder collaborates with the Director of Operations to uphold high standards of support services and ensure compliance with statutory obligations and best practices.
The Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate for this role will have an accountancy qualification paired with extensive experience in both finance and HR management.
Demonstrating a track record of strategic leadership within diverse and complex organisational settings, they will have a profound understanding of UK Government legislation and regulatory frameworks to ensure compliance and operational excellence.
Equipped with exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, they will possess the ability to foster collaborative relationships and effectively convey complex information.
Moreover, they will possess an innate capacity to lead and inspire their teams toward the achievement of School objectives, reflecting their commitment to driving success and cultivating a supportive work environment.
