Description:

Position Overview: The Director of Food and Beverage (F&B) will assume a pivotal role in overseeing the financial performance and operational efficiency of three hotels and a restaurant located in the vibrant city of Miami, Florida. This leadership position demands strategic acumen, financial expertise, and a deep understanding of the hospitality industry to drive revenue growth, ensure exceptional guest experiences, and uphold operational excellence.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or related field (Master’s degree preferred).
  • Proven experience (minimum 7-10 years) in senior leadership roles within the hospitality industry, with a focus on F&B operations and financial management.
  • Strong financial acumen and proficiency in budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, and P&L management.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams to achieve common goals.
  • Thorough understanding of F&B trends, culinary concepts, and service standards, with a commitment to delivering exceptional guest experiences.
  • Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks, delegate responsibilities, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in hotel management systems, point-of-sale (POS) systems, and other relevant software applications.
  • Familiarity with local regulations, health codes, and industry standards governing F&B operations in Miami, Florida.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed to oversee F&B operations and attend to guest needs.

Responsibilities:

  • Financial Management:
  • Develop and manage annual budgets, forecasts, and financial plans for the F&B departments of all properties.
  • Implement cost-control measures to optimize profitability while maintaining high standards of quality and service.
  • Analyze financial statements and performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions as necessary.
  • Negotiate contracts with vendors and suppliers to secure favorable terms and pricing for food, beverages, and operational supplies.
  • Monitor revenue streams, expenses, and profit margins, taking proactive measures to maximize revenue and minimize costs.
  • Operational Oversight:
  • Provide strategic leadership and guidance to F&B managers and staff across multiple properties, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and standards.
  • Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) to streamline operations, enhance efficiency, and maintain consistency in service delivery.
  • Conduct regular inspections and audits to assess the quality of food, beverage, and service offerings, and implement improvements as needed.
  • Foster a culture of excellence, teamwork, and guest satisfaction through effective training, coaching, and performance management.
  • Collaborate with other department heads and stakeholders to coordinate F&B operations with overall hotel and restaurant activities.
  • Guest Experience Enhancement:
  • Champion a guest-centric approach to service delivery, striving to exceed guest expectations and cultivate loyalty through memorable dining experiences.
  • Solicit guest feedback, analyze customer satisfaction scores, and implement initiatives to address areas of improvement and enhance overall satisfaction.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation standards, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices to maintain a safe and hygienic environment for guests and staff.
  • Strategic Planning and Business Development:
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, market dynamics, and competitive landscape to identify opportunities for growth and innovation.
  • Collaborate with the executive team to develop long-term strategic plans, business initiatives, and marketing strategies to drive revenue growth and market share.
  • Evaluate potential business opportunities, partnerships, and expansion prospects to support the strategic objectives of the organization.
