Description:

POSITION SUMMARY:
Responsible for the development, administration, and implementation of all human resource functions to include policies, procedures, processes and programs related to employee, as well as manager training and development, organizational strategic planning, HR information systems, employee relations, recruitment and retention, payroll, benefits, compensation, organizational development, and regulatory compliance. Also responsible for promoting a culture empowerment, driven by excellence, giving compassion and hope, and inspiring others, and ensuring our employee initiatives are aligned as such.
QUALIFICATIONS (MINIMUM EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING, LICENSURE, CERTIFICATION):
- SHRM certification required.
- Requires Bachelor’s degree or 5 years human resource management experience.
- Preference given for experience with US Department of Labor Service Contract Act.
Responsibilities:
- Strategic Collaboration:
- Works closely with senior management to develop and implement strategic initiatives pertaining to employee engagement, talent management, and organizational development.
- Works closely with vendors and partners to evaluate benefit offerings to ensure maximization of agency resources.
- Compliance Oversight:
- Maintains knowledge of industry trends and employment legislation, ensuring all employment practices and policies comply with federal, state, and local regulations. Review and recommend improvements to policies, procedures, and practices to enhance compliance and employee satisfaction.
- Ensure timely completion and submission of regulatory reports, including but not limited to National Industries for the Blind, AbilityOne Commission, Department of Labor, etc.
- Ensures and maintains documentation for employee training, annual performance reviews as well as performance improvement plans.
- Ensures job descriptions are regularly reviewed, up-to-date, and comply with all relevant laws and regulations.
- Talent Management and Development:
- Leads talent acquisition processes, including sourcing, interviewing, hiring, and onboarding.
- Recommends, develops, and evaluates staff development initiatives to foster continuous learning and professional growth within the agency.
- Employee Relations and Conflict Resolution:
- Handles investigations and resolutions of employee issues, concerns, and conflicts. Responds to questions or complaints from employees in a timely manner and collaborates with department managers to assist them in their supervisory responsibilities concerning personnel matters.
- Responsible for developing and implementing employee onboarding process to address not only compliance but to engage employees with the mission of the agency.
- Program Development and Administration:
- Develops, implements, and maintains employee recognition, awards, and wellness programs, as well as leads and participates in special committees and company sponsored activities.
- Collaborates with Safety Manager and/or safety committee to assist in the implementation, promotion, and maintenance of employee health and safety and wellness programs.
- Must wear all protective equipment required by department.
- Must follow all company policies and procedures including departmental safety policies.
- Performs all other duties as assigned.
