JOB SUMMARY:

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced director of Investment to lead our investment strategies and manage relationships with external investors. The successful candidate will be responsible for shaping the company’s investment portfolio, securing funding, and ensuring profitable returns on our projects.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Real Estate, or related field. A Master’s degree or CFA is highly preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years’ experience in investment management or finance, with a proven track record in the property development industry.
  • Strong financial acumen and ability to analyze market trends and financial data.
  • Excellent negotiation and relationship management skills.
  • Effective communication and presentation skills.
  • Deep understanding of the New Zealand property market and regulatory environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement comprehensive investment strategies that align with the company’s goals and market opportunities.
  • Manage relationships with existing investors and secure new funding sources to support project development and expansion.
  • Oversee the financial structuring of projects, including debt and equity components.
  • Conduct market and financial analysis to identify potential investment opportunities and risks.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, including finance, legal, and project management, to ensure alignment on investment decisions.
  • Represent the company in negotiations and meetings with banks, financial institutions, and investors.
  • Prepare and present investment reports and updates to the Board of Directors.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards in New Zealand.
