QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited college or university
  • Minimum seven (7) years of related work experience
  • Strong preference for someone with CRA industry experience
  • Strong preference for someone with real estate finance or investment experience
  • Preference for someone with fund investment sales experience
  • Preference for someone with an established network and ability to build client relationships
  • Experience in fundraising preferred
  • Experience in impact investing preferred
  • Familiar with Salesforce or other CRM
  • Proficient in Microsoft PowerPoint (at least five years’ experience), Word, Excel (i.e. macros, pivot tables, v-lookup)
  • Excellent proofreading skills
  • Domestic travel up to 50% estimated annually

Responsibilities:

ABOUT THIS ROLE

The Strategic Investments team has been organized into functional expertise groups that lead and support the activities necessary to design, raise, deploy, manage impact funds, and develop new investment strategies. Those functional groups are listed below:

  • Fund Design & Modeling – initial fund concept design and modeling, market testing
  • Fund Development – raising money from investors for the fund
  • Fund Deployment – creating the investment origination strategy and managing the underwriting and investment process
  • Fund Performance & Measurement – managing the performance of existing investments and conduit funds, oversight of financial statements & impact reporting
  • Capital Innovation Lab - leads the charge in developing new investment strategies via pilots, programs, and initiatives.

This role will support the Fund Development function specifically.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Support Senior Director in all aspects of fundraising from investor outreach to investor closing
  • Create new fund marketing materials including presentations, PPMs, tear sheets and additional collateral
  • Grow a pipeline of investors, particularly CRA motivated banks, depending on the fund’s geography
  • Travel and pitch to new clients and use data to articulate fund offerings (2-3 short trips per month)
  • Assemble due diligence information and respond to investor inquiries.
  • Plan and organize quarterly and annual investor financial updates and in events (both virtual and in person)
  • Collaborate with marketing to support investor outreach including event planning and video creation
  • Manage investor closing process and legal negotiations, coordinating with both internal and external counsel
  • Maintain detailed records of client communication and business activities in our support systems (Salesforce, Box, or others)
  • Travel to meet clients, attend industry conferences, and host events
  • Perform other duties as assigned
