Profile:
At Messe Düsseldorf Asia, we pride ourselves on delivering outstanding trade fairs to our esteemed clientele across a multi-faceted portfolio that spans medical & healthcare, printing & packaging, metal, plastics and rubber, wine and spirits, and more. We are on the lookout for a dynamic Director of Marketing and Promotions to join our team. This role is crucial for enhancing our market presence, understanding customer demands, and spearheading the creation of solutions that resonate with our audience. The ideal candidate will possess a rich background in marketing, a robust understanding of branding, and the ability to lead and inspire a young and diverse team.

Objectives of the role:

  • Forge collaborative partnerships with the project and PR teams to deliver shared objectives
  • Encourage the sharing of best practise within the team and to co-ordinate the solving of shared challenges
  • Develop and deliver fully integrated marketing and promotion strategies across the portfolio of trade fairs to achieve pre-determined objectives and targets
  • Lead the use of integrated channels within the traditional and digital platforms to target customers and increase their awareness

Main tasks & responsibilities:

  • Develop marketing and promotion strategies in close collaboration with project and PR teams, creative teams, content providers, and industry partners to enhance the reach and engagement
  • Head the execution of marketing campaigns from concept to analysis, including segmentation, testing, tracking, results reporting, and deriving actionable insights
  • Marketing teams are motivated and appropriately skilled and trained to carry out their responsibilities
  • Audience acquisition and engagement, and database growth

Required skills:

  • Proven success in a senior marketing rolr - preferably in the B2B space - including campaign creation and execution
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and decision-making capabilities
  • Strong experience with digital and print marketing, content marketing, and social media platforms
  • Minimum 3 years of experience leading a team of 3 or more with proven experience of creating high performing teams
