The role is responsible for leading the Standard BioTools marketing strategy and tactics for the Company’s products and markets in APAC.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/SKILLS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, e.g. Biology, Biochemistry
  • Professional marketing qualification, to MBA or equivalent level, would be an advantage
  • Minimum five years of successful marketing leadership experience in Life Sciences or Diagnostics markets
  • Data driven decision making individual, with ability to translate strategic plans into actions for continuous improvement
  • Sound business acumen with keen sales understanding
  • Good understanding of worldwide marketing differences for local implementation plans
  • Knowledge of Standard BioTools product markets (cytometry, imaging, spatial biology and genomics) and value propositions, would be an advantage
  • Ability to work effectively in a matrix environment
  • Excellent interpersonal and communications skills
  • Cross cultural agility and sensitivity
  • Potential to become a larger part of the organization in the foreseeable future
  • Strong fluency in English; an additional Asian language would be an advantage
  • Willingness to travel up to 40% of time, primarily across Asia

Responsibilities:

  • Development and execution of the APAC Marketing Plans, aligning Corporate and APAC strategy, with local tactics
  • Ensure positioning of all products (SomaScan, Microfluidics, Mass Cytometry and Imaging Mass Cytometry Instrument Systems and Consumables) consistent with market opportunities, changing competitive landscape, and new technologies
  • Drive strong lead generation, resulting in rapid funnel growth and increase win rates
  • Define and report key metrics to monitor marketing effectiveness
  • Establish working relations with key opinion leaders, strategic accounts and European associations
  • Monitor and report regional market trends, collect and manage competitive intelligence and market data, identifying new market opportunities
  • Work closely with Corporate and APAC teams, across functions and geographies, to define local initiatives and drive their successful implementation
  • Participate in scientific conferences, tradeshows and related field support activities
  • Develop and execute online marketing activities (eg. webinars)
  • Lead and develop the APAC Marketing Specialists/Managers
  • Drive and influence perception of the Standard BioTools brand by systematically reinforcing its values, mission and strategies
  • Contribute to the definition of Global Marketing strategy, as member of the Global Marketing Team
  • Achieve technical knowledge and applications on the product portfolio
  • Control marketing expenses against budget commitments
  • Represent the company professionally, ethically and morally at all times
