REQUIREMENTS

Essential

  • Extensive experience in a People/HR senior role (Director, Head of HR, Senior HR Business Partner) with the ability to establish credibility and build department accountability
  • CIPD-qualified at Chartered or Fellow level, with evidence of continuous professional development
  • Experienced and influential strategic business leader with a history of operating at leadership level
  • Strong people management and leadership skills with experience managing HR and ideally L&D teams, in addition to an ability to coach peers and bring out the best in others
  • Experience in organisational design and successfully leading organisational change
  • Experience working in a small to medium-sized enterprise (SME) undergoing a period of accelerated growth (experience of international growth would be desirable)

Desirable

  • Experience of working in a professional services environment
  • Experience in a globally growing matrix organisation
  • Familiarity of managing TUPE situations and ability to counsel senior management on appropriate practice

Responsibilities:

THE ROLE

Mtech Access is a thriving health economics and market access consultancy with just under 100 people. We are embarking on the next exciting phase of accelerated growth and looking to find a dynamic Director of People and Culture to partner with the business, and lead the design and implementation of our people strategy supporting the delivery of our strategic business goals and target operating model for our future.
The role will report directly to the Managing Director and work with our leadership team and existing People function to lead on all people-related initiatives and to further develop our employee value proposition (EVP).

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Leading and developing our existing People function (HR, TA, and L&D) at Mtech Access and demonstrating the importance and strategic impact that this function can bring to the company
  • Acting as a trusted and strategic partner to our senior leadership team, proactively partnering with them to contribute to the leadership and strategic direction of the company
  • Developing and driving the People and Culture strategy to deliver impact, facilitate change and implement new initiatives that promote the strategic agenda of the company
  • Leading the development and evolution of the organisational culture and EVP; leading on initiatives for employee engagement, wellbeing, and retention, and ensuring alignment with our company values and mission
  • Having ownership of the development and implementation of the organisational design/operating model during the next phase of growth, whilst maintaining and balancing a high-performing business as usual function
  • Actively contributing to continuous improvement in business operations, processes, and people practices, supporting the development of a high-performing workforce (including use of appropriate technology)
  • Working closely with the leadership team and coaching on all aspects of talent management and development, including workforce planning, capacity and resource management, skills assessment, recruitment and retention, people-related policies, and compliance with relevant laws and regulations
  • Leading further development of our talent management, career development pathways, and reward recognition processes
  • Developing and co-ordinating reward policies for the business using external benchmarking and job evaluations, as required
  • Ensuring that all training and development programmes are designed and implemented to agreed standards and policies, and are fit for organisational purpose
  • Contributing to organisational development, including the development of our business leaders
  • Devising recruitment strategy and policy, as well as overseeing its implementation
