POSITION OVERVIEW

The Director of P&C Operations provides leadership through a strong understanding of each functional area of Human Resources including HR Information Systems (HRIS), HR Data Analysis and Reporting, Compensation, Benefits, Payroll, and Compliance, and will lead a team of roughly 10 HR professionals in these areas. This role will be responsible for being in the details of all components of HR Operations.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Experience in multi-unit organizations.
  • Ability to travel up to 20% pending company needs.
  • At least five years of human resource management experience required.
  • SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP highly preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong supervisory and leadership skills.
  • Ability to adapt to the needs of the organization and employees.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate.
  • Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Strong knowledge of Workday.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Position requires employee to sit or stand at desk for extended periods of time.
  • Job requires employee to effectively perceive speech and express ideas over the phone and via Teams.
    Compensation: $130-150k + bonus based on qualifications, experience, and performance. Competitive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, and 401k with company match.

    $115,000.00 - $140,000.00

Responsibilities:

  • Participate in compensation benchmarking, conduct related analysis, research market competitive practices, recommend new programs or enhancements, for competitive and innovative recognition and reward strategies.
  • Full responsibility for all agency audit and requests (DOL, 401K, etc)
  • Bring a solution focused attitude and be comfortable working in an environment that demands deliverables along with the ability to identify problems and create appropriate solutions.
  • Lead, coach, and develop your direct report team to deliver a great employee experience and manage/promote HR consistency, compliance, and best practices.
  • Responsible for the administration, delivery, and ongoing support of employee benefits programs, including responsibility for renewals and vendor selection and management and responsibility for the annual open enrollment process.
  • Ensure benefits-related documentation, supporting materials and communications are thoroughly reviewed for accuracy, updated promptly and compliant with the respective plan or governmental regulations.
  • Leave of Absence (LOA) process management & administration.
  • Worker’s Compensation management & administration.
  • Owns and must have deep understanding of Workday HRIS.
  • Lead a team to administer and validate employee information in the HRIS/Payroll system, onboarding, status changes, and terminations.
  • Establish, maintain, and audit consistent records retention practices including employee personnel files, I-9’s, and documents related to onboarding, performance management, LOA, etc.
  • Establish efficient processes for the administration and management of the payroll function, including jurisdiction tax reporting, garnishments, deductions, and responding to employee inquiries, company communication, resources, and tools.
  • Ensure complete and accurate payroll.
  • Oversee the administration processes for Unemployment Claims.
  • Maintain current knowledge of legal regulations, industry trends and best practices; make recommendations to improve current programs and processes and to ensure company legal compliance with Federal and State laws.
  • Owns the New Hire Orientation program along with the Employee NPS program.
  • Fosters and promotes collaborative relationships.
