We design, manufacture, and sell energy recovery ventilation (ERV) solutions that provide 100% fresh, filtered outside air to building occupants in a low energy and zero carbon way. Our company has grown rapidly over the past 4.5 years to 100 employees and are on track for $35 million in revenue with our products installed in over 1000 Schools, Offices, Senior Care facilities, Banks, and Retail stores throughout North America. We are hiring a Director of People & Culture to help continue to build our high performing team and join us in our mission to create healthy spaces for people to live, work and play in a sustainable way. This role will develop and execute our HR strategy for delivery of company goals and culture.
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE DESIRED:
- Degree or Diploma in Human Resources.
- 10+ years of Human Resources management in high-tech and manufacturing environments.
- Strong leadership skills with experience in coaching and mentoring managers.
- Strong collaboration, influencing, managing conflict, communication and listening skills.
- Well organized with attention to detail, excellent problem-solving skills, ability to multi-task and execute.
- Devotion to ethics and transparency
- Solid computer skills (Excel, HRIS, ERP experience an advantage).
- Experience developing employment programs for attraction, retention, and development.
- CPHR designation is preferred.
Annual Salary: $130,000 to $150,000 based on experience.
Responsibilities:
- Provide strategic, operational, and technical leadership to the Oxygen8 organization and People & Culture team.
- Operational areas of responsibility include recruiting, orientation, training/personal development plans, performance management, employee communications, compensation & benefits, development of People and Culture policies.
- As part of the senior leadership team, this role develops employee and culture building strategies, short- and long-term goals, and success measurement, maintaining a psychologically safe, inclusive, and positive work environment.
- Develop labour resource plans, oversee hiring activity and provide coaching and mentorship.
- Build positive relationships and provide support to other Oxygen8 departments (Sales, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Engineering, Service).
- Develop, measure and report People and Culture analytics, initiatives, identify risks and challenges.
- Balance the interest of all the Oxygen8 stakeholders (employees, management, board of directors, shareholders)
- Responsible for adherence to employment laws and standards.
