Description:

We are looking for an experienced and driven Director fo Quality Operations to join us in our mission to contribute to a greener future. The role is a part of our excellent central quality team based in Västerås. By joining us, you will be a key player in establishing quality standards across our factories.

ABOUT THE JOB

As a Director Quality Operations you are scoping and driving the implementation of shop floor quality standards and processes globally. You are improving problem-solving methods and are gatekeeping their execution. You and your team are ensuring Technical Cleanliness (TecSa) within Northvolt and are advancing the TecSa concept. You’re working closely with the new factories team to review, strengthen and secure the quality setup in existing and future sites.

Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Lead the quality operations organization.
  • Act as an intermediary between the different plant quality organizations
  • Develop quality concepts for future sites in collaboration with the new factories team.
  • Drive root cause analysis for high impact problems, push and lead cross-functional team for solutions.
  • Drive TecSa activities and concept-development and follow-up on identified issues
  • Analyzes opportunities for optimization, time, cost, and resource-saving in work and material flow in Quality.

Skills & Requirements

We believe that you have :

  • Degree in MSc/ MEng in relevant field
  • 10+ years of experience in reliability engineering, failure analysis, test, quality, or service engineering
  • Leadership and coordinating skills in a highly flexible and frequent changing environment.
  • Exceptionally good negotiation and problem-solving skill
  • Experience supervising teams in a fast-paced environment.
  • Project management skills and a successful track record
  • Excellent English written and oral skills
  • Ability to drive cross-functional action in response to product quality concerns.
  • Strong understanding of mechanical, material, electrical, system, chemical, and process failure modes.
  • Highly organized and results-driven
  • Highly knowledgeable around 8D and quality troubleshooting tools and in problem-solving and process optimization
  • Ability to work under pressure and with tight deadlines, excellent time management
  • Ability to work well with others in a team environment, as well as independently
  • Good experience with MS Office
  • Very good detail orientation
  • Knowledge of quality management systems, e.g. ISO 9001, IATF1694
