Description:

IF THE ANSWER’S YES, POP THE KETTLE ON, SETTLE DOWN WITH A BREW AND READ ON!

Yorkshire Housing is on a mission. We’re aiming to transform the landlord repairs service model from a reactive (waiting for something to go wrong) to a pre-emptive approach that uses technology and insights to predict what our customers need before they need it.
This is all part of our aim to become the UK’s best housing provider. Yep, you’re right, that’s ambitious! We’re serious about re-engineering the customer journey and putting the right culture, skills and technologies in place to make this a reality. The evolution of our Repairs function is central to our plans. We’ve brought the majority of our repairs services in-house over the last 18 months and the new Director of Repairs and Maintenance will lead a significant change programme to transform service delivery, performance and customer experience.
We’re looking for an exceptional leader who understands what this change will take to deliver at operational level, knows how to take our skilled, mobile workforce on the journey, and can offer innovative and creative approaches to how we achieve our aims. Other than that, it’s going to be a pretty quiet time!
As part of our Senior Leadership Team, you’ll play a pivotal role in creating a culture that puts customers first, and you’ll have the freedom and support to make it happen.

WHAT DO YOU NEED TO APPLY?

It goes without saying that you’ll already be an established senior leader with bags of experience leading a field service operation in a customer-focused organisation (social housing experience isn’t mandatory). You will need a passion for people – getting it right for our customers and also for our colleagues who operate across the length and breadth of Yorkshire.
We’re looking for someone with a laser-sharp focus on quality, performance, compliance and service improvement and who knows what it takes to build relationships inside and outside the organisation. Experience of leading people through a significant technology transformation is also a key part of the job. Most importantly, you’ll be an authentic leader who cares about doing the right thing, not the easy thing.
If all this doesn’t excite you, then please check your pulse as you may need an ambulance thanks for reading so far. If it does, great! Please get in touch.
