Description:

Mantra Albury, located in the bustling Riverina city offering Mantra’s trademark friendly hospitality. The property consists of 146 spacious rooms from studio style to that of two bedroom as well as street facing District Dining restaurant, and onsite spaces for bespoke conferencing and events.
Purpose
As the Director of Sales and Marketing, you will be well versed within the Albury market, and responsible for driving revenue expansion, elevating brand visibility, and optimising overall performance and profitability of Mantra Albury.

The Role

  • Base Salary of $100,000 + Super
  • Reporting directly to the General Manager your expertise will be instrumental in making decisions that directly impact the businesses profitability
  • Enhance the reputation and appeal of Mantra Albury, positioning it as the premier choice for both corporate and leisure travellers
  • Work closely with the General Manager and Head Chef to devise strategic plans promoting onsite conferencing and events accommodating up to 100 attendees

Primary Responsibilities

  • Build strategic sales strategies, working closely with the General Manager to successfully fulfil overall business objectives
  • Actively sell all attributes of Mantra Albury including Accommodation, Conferencing & Events and District Dining offerings
  • Review weekly forecasts and market share reports and actively participate in ensuring business levels and market share is maintained
  • Act as primary point of contact for the hotel including the coordination and leadership of site inspections to assist conversion
  • Create and foster partnerships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Develop and implement processes and procedures that provide accurate data and robust support for critical financial objectives

Skills and Experience

  • Understanding of the Albury and surrounding market, highly desirable
  • Recent experience as a Business Development Manager within a hotel environment, highly regarded
  • Proven track record in driving revenue growth through effective sales strategies and initiatives
  • Exceptional negotiation skills to secure profitable deals and partnerships
  • A knack for boosting conversion rates, translating leads into successful bookings and maximising sales opportunities
