Under the supervision of the General Manager, the Sales and Marketing Director is responsible for implementing appropriate marketing and sales strategies to achieve the company’s sales and customer loyalty objectives.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

  • Draft sales reports and projections.
  • Manage, retain, and prospect a portfolio of corporate businesses, SMERF, associations, corporate groups, and travel.
  • Provide ongoing support in training and procedures to the sales team.
  • Establish, develop, and maintain a network of contacts.
  • Follow and implement current procedures and policies.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Establish and maintain good working relationships with managers from various operational departments such as front desk, reservations, dining, golf, and accounting.
  • Develop effective sales and marketing strategies to drive business growth.
  • Develop marketing plans to promote the company’s products and services.
  • Conduct market and competition analysis to ensure company competitiveness.
  • Establish relationships with key customers and business partners.
  • Participate in setting company goals and developing strategic plans.
  • Collaborate with other company departments to ensure consistency in communications and sales and marketing initiatives.
  • Any other related tasks to ensure the quality of departmental service.

SKILLS:

  • Excellent negotiation skills.
  • Team spirit, leadership, and availability.
  • Neat and professional presentation at all times.
  • Knowledge of computer systems such as Microsoft Office, Hotello, etc.
  • Possession of a vehicle for business travel (an asset).
  • Occasional mobility.

  • Ability to manage a multi-generational team.

EDUCATION:

DEC in Hotel Management (an asset).

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:

Four (4) to six (6) years of relevant experience in hotel sales.
