About The Role
As the Director of Strategy you will report to the CEO and will play a pivotal role in shaping the long-term vision of STC and will drive strategic lead the development and execution of strategic plans, ensuring the organisation remains agile and responsive in the ever-evolving transport industry initiatives for organisational growth and success. Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee strategic thinking and planning for emerging commercial returns, specialist capabilities, and economic value to the State.
  • Lead the program to assess broader strategies to enhance STC’s balance sheet, guiding longer-term investments, and targeting future priorities.
  • Develop actionable insights to drive business growth and competitive advantage, aligning with STC’s vision and purpose.
  • Provide high-level strategic and policy advice to senior decision-makers (CEO, Board, Ministers) on STC’s operations.
  • Collaborate with the Executive to embed strategies in STC’s broader planning documents and ensure alignment with the organisation’s vision.

Desirables

  • 10+ years’ experience in management consulting, corporate strategy, or a high-level public sector role.
  • Tertiary qualifications in business, economics, finance, or a related field.

Salary: Aligned with Victorian Independent Remuneration Tribunal guidelines
