Description:

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Director of Total Rewards is a key leadership role within the Human Resources (HR) department, responsible for designing, implementing, and managing the compensation and benefits programs at MCR Health. This position plays a critical role in attracting, retaining, and motivating employees by ensuring that the total rewards package is competitive, aligned with organizational objectives, and compliant with relevant laws and regulations.

REQUIREMENTS & PREFERENCES:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field preferred (Master’s degree preferred)
  • 8+ years of progressive experience in compensation and benefits, with at least 3 years in a leadership role required
  • Experience designing and administering benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and wellness initiatives
  • Strong knowledge of compensation principles, practices, and trends
  • Familiarity with executive compensation principles and governance practices
  • Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven recommendations
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills
  • Knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and compliance requirements related to compensation and benefit
  • Certification such as Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) or Certified Employee Benefits Specialist (CEBS) is a plus
  • Microsoft Office Products - Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint proficiency preferred
  • Supports the goals and mission of MCR Health Services

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement compensation strategies that support the organization’s business goals and objectives
  • Oversee performance management, compensation and benefits, and employee engagement
  • Conduct market research and analysis to ensure that the organization’s compensation practices are competitive and equitable
  • Design and administer salary structures, incentive plans, and other compensation programs
  • Oversee the design, implementation, and administration of employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, wellness initiatives, and other perks
  • Evaluate benefit offerings to ensure they meet the needs of employees and remain competitive in the marketplace
  • Manage relationships with benefit providers and vendors
  • Develop and administer executive compensation programs, including salary, bonuses, equity awards, and other incentives
  • Ensure that executive compensation practices align with corporate governance principles and regulatory requirements
  • Provide guidance and support to senior leadership on executive compensation matters
  • Collaborate with HR colleagues to integrate compensation and performance management systems.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of incentive programs and recommend adjustments as needed.
  • Ensure that compensation and benefits programs comply with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards
  • Stay informed about changes in legislation and regulatory requirements related to compensation and benefits
  • Work closely with legal counsel to address compensation and benefits compliance issues and mitigate risks
  • Provide education and guidance to employees on how to maximize their total rewards package
  • Address employee questions, concerns, and issues related to compensation and benefits
  • Utilize data analytics to assess the effectiveness of compensation and benefits programs
  • Analyze compensation and benefits data to identify trends, areas for improvement, and opportunities for cost savings
  • Prepare regular reports and presentations for senior leadership
